INSTRUCTIONS MADE TO YOUR VEHICLE
Other companies may lead you to believe that all wiring is the same - this is not true. After filling out our
Wiring board information sheet we draw up diagrams and instructions specifically for your vehicle.

SINGLE SIDE CONNECTIONS
Many competitors boast of a small panel size but they require connections to be made on 3 or 4 sides. The “Black Box” only requires connections on 1 side, allowing for a much smaller installation area.
LESS WIRES TO PANEL
We do not use the panel as a junction point for all the wires in the wiring loom. Only wires that are needed to run to the panel do so. This creates a smaller, less confusing loom and cuts down on unnecessary wires under the dash.
ALL COMPONENTS MOUNTED ON PANEL
All of our components are mounted on the panel. Competitors say their panels are smaller but many of their components, flashers, relays, resistors, etc., must be mounted separately. This makes installation harder, creates more wiring and increases the need for a greater installation area.
HEAVY DUTY SAFETY
The “Black Box” features a special 375 amp fuse block with a reversed tracer PC Board. The unique design makes it virtually impossible to be damaged by shorting or circuit overload. The only circuits utilizing the PC board are the turn signal and hazard flashers, horn relay and ignition resistor. All other circuits are wired directly to the fuse block.

MOUNTING PLATE
Easy to clean, sturdy, hi-impact, heat resistant ABS type material to protect and conceal wiring board. Built-in tabs firmly hold the cover in place while still allowing for easy removal. May be mounted in engine compartment if desired. Button head socket screws are provided for attaching wiring board to mounting plate, “Torx” wrench for fuse block “Torx” head screws and insulated electro-tin plated copper connectors for both main lug and individual circuit connections.
Constructed of sturdy 16 gauge aluminum, the plate also has pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation to the vehicle. The wiring board is then attached to threaded standoffs fitted on the plate.
INSTRUCTIONS
A booklet personalized to your specific application with complete step by step instructions and diagrams. To ensure a non-confusing installation, each page is devoted to an individual circuit - brake lights, turn signals, horn, etc.. If using yourn own wire, gauge size recommendations are included. A cross reference illustration of the wiring board is also provided telling you at a glance where every wiring board connection is made.
VOLTAGE REGULATORS
No voltage regulators are mounted on the wiring boards as most alternators today are internally regulated or have aftermarket case mounted regulators. If an externally regulated alternator is used the voltage regulator must be mounted elsewhere in the vehicle. The provided instructions will show proper wiring hook-up.
CIRCUIT BREAKERS
Each panel comes complete with fuses but circuit breakers are available at additional cost. The breakers are a direct replacement push-in thermal type which reset automatically at a specific temperature.
IGNITION RESISTOR
Besides points ignitions, many models of aftermarket HEI distrbutors, Mallory, Accel, Pertronix, etc., still require the use of an ignition resistor. The correct resistor is matched to each application. If not needed it is not necessary to remove, the provided wiring instructions will show it to be by-passed.
INFORMATION SHEET
The “Wiring Board Information Sheet” should be filled out completely when ordering. This insures that a complete, accurate set of instructions and diagrams will be provided with each wiring board. The info sheet can be quickly phoned in, emailed or sent by US mail.

FUSES OR CIRCUIT BREAKERS
New widely used ATO/ATC push-in type safety fuses are included. Optional self resetting circuit breakers are available at extra cost.
IGNITION RESISTOR
The correct ohm resistor is installed for each distributor. If not neededit's by-passed. Though it may not be needed at the time, it's provided in case of future ignition system changes.

FLASHERS
Heavy duty 552 turn signal and hazard flashers are utilized which are available at any parts store. Both are an easy pull out and push in replacement.

HORN RELAY
Reliable, compact, heavy duty grounding type relay is easily changed by simply pulling out the old unit and pushing in the replacement.

FUSE BLOCKS
Heat resistant thermoplastic housings with solid copper electro-tin plated fuse connectors can handle a 375 AMP load. All fused circuit terminals can easily accommodate two 10 gauge wires. Connections are made using the provided terminal connectors or by simply stripping the wire ends and tightening under the pinch plates. Main power “Hot Lugs” can accommodate up to two 4 gauge wires if needed.
LABELING
All main circuit and accessory connections are clearly and permanently labeled directly in front of its connection position.
PC BOARD
Reversed tracer design makes it virtually impossible to damage the PC board by shorting or circuit overload. The PC board is only used for 4 circuits - signal flasher, hazard flasher, ignition resistor and horn relay. All other circuits are handled directly through the fuse block.

"BLACK BOX " may be purchased by itself or with custom heat stamped labeled wire

Pre-made looms dictate the bundle size of the wires and where you have to run them. Those bulky bundles usually don't fit in the area you need them to. Use our heat stamped, thick wall, chemically cross-linked, Polyethylene coated copper stranded wire and run your wires where you want to run them.
